Margate Women’s scheduled final pre-season fixture at home to Billericay Town U23s has been cancelled after the visitors were forced to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances.
The match was due to take place tomorrow and would have provided George Adams’ side with a final warm-up ahead of the new campaign. However, the cancellation means Margate will now head straight into competitive action without another pre-season test.
Their season officially gets underway next Sunday (7th September) as they travel to face Cray Wanderers in the First Round Qualifying of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
