We can confirm two squad updates involving Kieron Agbebi and Jack Peters.
Agbebi has been recalled by Dover Athletic, with all parties agreeing that the move is in the best interests of the player at this stage of his career. The decision will allow him to gain regular football, with the aim of playing 90 minutes week in, week out for the remainder of the season.
“Kieron has shown a fantastic attitude throughout his time at Hartsdown Park but has been particularly unfortunate with injuries, especially at moments when he was beginning to find form and get on the scoresheet. With consistent game time now the priority, the focus will be on helping him finish the season strongly and remain injury free”, said manager Ben Greenhalgh.
Meanwhile, Jack Peters has returned to Whitstable Town on dual registration.
“Jack has been excellent for Margate this season, producing a number of standout performances and continuing the strong progression he has shown since last year. His development remains the key focus, and regular football with a competitive Whitstable side is expected to further support that improvement” said Greenhalgh.
“We remain confident that Jack will continue to grow and develop, with hopes that supporters will see even more of him – and an even stronger version – when pre-season begins”, added the gaffer.
Margate would like to thank both players for their efforts and commitment and wish them the very best for the remainder of the season.
In terms of current injuries, the gaffer says he is hopeful that trio Louie Atkins, Gabriel Duo and Brandon Davey will return to full training by the end of January.
