Margate will be looking to bounce back from last week’s 3-2 defeat to Deal Town and take all three points back home when they travel to Beckenham Town in the Isthmian South-East on Saturday afternoon.
After letting a 2-0 lead slip last weekend, the ‘Gate will be relieved to be back on the road after enduring a difficult period of home games which has seen them win just once in their last six at home.
Manager Ben Greenhalgh will once again be hopeful that Midfielder Brandon Davey could return to the squad as he continues to recover from a hip injury that has ruled him out since September.
Beckenham Town head into this game sitting in the relegation zone in 21st place. Town come into this fixture off the back of three consecutive draws, with the last two seeing them take the lead, but unable to see out the result. A win for Beckenham could see close the gap to safety to just seven points, with games in hand.
Margate’s recent away form has been good, managing to win three and drawing one of their last five. Saturday’s hosts have yet to play a home game in 2026 after poor weather has meant their pitch has been deemed unplayable since the turn of the new year, their last home fixture was a 2-1 win over Crowborough Athletic in December 2025.
This will be the fourth time these two teams have met in competitive action, and Beckenham are still searching for their first win against Margate, with The ‘Gate winning comfortably in all of the previous three encounters including a much needed morale boosting 7-2 win at Hartsdown Park in October when Kane Haysman netted four goals in a rampant win at HDP.
Margate will play in their away shirts and shorts for this fixture.
Kick-off at Eden Park Avenue is scheduled for 3pm.
