Margate begin their Velocity Cup journey this evening as we welcome fellow Isthmian South-East side Merstham to Hartsdown Park.
The ‘Gate will be looking to put a difficult September to bed with a positive result, however supporters will notice a much changed side as manager Jamie Coyle will use the fixture to test some new faces in the squad.
There will be regulars involved too with Jake McIntyre set to be in the squad whilst Reserves players Tyler Lee and David Woodgate are also named in the squad.
Merstham arrive at Hartsdown Park having also endured a difficult month having lost three and drawn one of their four games in the month.
The Moatsiders did enjoy their last trip to Hartsdown Park in December 2025 when they beat the Blues 2-0 in the Isthmian South-East Division fixture.
Margate haven’t won any of the four previous meetings, however three of them have been draws.
A reminder that this evening is reduced entry with Adults just £5, Concessions £3 and U18’s FREE.
Season cards are not valid for this game due to a cup fixture so all attending must purchase a ticket in advance or on the doors.

The winners of this evening’s tie will face the winners of Broadbridge Heath v Raynes Park Vale in Round Two at home.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7:45pm at Hartsdown Park.
