Potters Bar (A) - 11th April 2024

Potters Bar (A) - 11th April 2024

By Josh Cole

A rare Thursday night game and an 8pm kick-off for the ‘Gate, as we travel to Haringey to take on Potters Bar for matchday #39 of the season!

Last time out, we produced a dominant display away at Kingstonian, winning 1-3! Read the match report from that game by clicking here.

Due to Potters Bar playing on a grass pitch, the league, made the decision to move this game to Coles Park, home of Haringey Borough, to utilise their 3g surface, ensuring that the game will get played. The address to the stadium can be found at the bottom of the preview.

OPPONENTS’ SEASON SO FAR:

Potters Bar started the season as an ‘obvious’ candidate to go down, as they went six games without gaining a point, which included the ‘Gate’s victory at Hartsdown Park 2-1. After that loss to us, they kicked into gear, going seven unbeaten which included five draws and two wins. The unbeaten run came to an end away at league leaders Hornchurch but that didn’t dampen the bar’s spirits as they went a further five games unbeaten, winning four and drawing once. An away loss to promotion challengers Billericay and a 5-0 smashing of Hashtag United solidified the Scholars in mid table. Unable to recapture their form from the unbeaten runs, they then lost two on the trot to Lewes and Horsham, both tough away trips. After those two losses, the team were on fine form going nine unbeaten which saw six wins and three draws before a loss to Dulwich Hamlet. Since that loss to Hamlet, two tough games followed against Wingate & Finchley, which Potters Bar lost 3-1, and their last match, at home against Horsham which ended 0-1.
